Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good monitor, one thats around 1920x1080 pixels  and say a 20 inch (give or take an inch). Dont need anything too fancy as we don't do gaming or video watching on the pc but do view photos.

Have looked on line and narrowed it down to a samsung one but its a bit all singing and dancing and we probably wont use all the features, such as usb and HDM1 conncetions.

budget is up to £140 but really have no objection spending far less!

We have  a Samsung 2232BW and we are very pelased with it. It is very  good looking and has excellent screen viewing quality especially if you are watching films or TV through the PC :-) Not sure about games as we don't play games on the PC although the CBeebies site gets a good hit rate from my 7 year old and haven't had any complaints from her :-)

I have this one from Acer and it's been excellent.  I suspect this model has been superceded by now but it could be a brand to check...

I had to get a new monitor back about 12-18 months ago.....it seems they only do wide screen now, which is fine for most things, except when looking at photos of dogs as everything gets elongated!!!
