Does anyone know of any hotels around the Midlands (Shropshire/Staffordshire area) that doesn't have a restriction on 2 dogs max? Preferably with no extra charge for the dogs!

I know Travelodge have a 2 dog policy and charge £20 per dog, I've tried Days Inn Telford and they say they have a 2 dog max policy.

We have just stayed at the hotel in Stoneleigh Park on the same site as the Kennel Club building. It cost £80 per night and dogs £5 each extra but let's just say they don't keep a check on how many you take. The garden rooms have a patio door which accesses a communal, not secure, garden area but the rooms are large & comfortable ( we had 5 large dogs inside ours.) No off-lead exercise on site but plenty of on-lead walking available. Not easy to find anywhere to take multi dogs is it?

Try the local tourist information , they can often tell you which hotels will take dogs and how many

I know it's not strictly in the 2 counties you list but how about Campanile at Coventry, Campanile welcome animals & they stay for free!

We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express at Stafford, and they don't restrict the number of dogs.

We stayed at days inn Milton keynes, did have just the 2 when I booked but as things happen took a dog on the week before lol, we did arrive about 1 in the morning but we just strolled in with the 3 of them (st bernards too) seems to me the receptionists at night aren't really bothered
good luck!!

Just booked at Home Farm near Stone for Manchester show with 2 dogs, might be worth asking about 3. Website comments say slightly faded / dated but clean and comfortable.

Thanks for all the ideas, Holiday Inn Express at Stafford sounded ideal, unfortunately they're fully booked! Managed to get Holiday Inn Telford, charging £10 for the dogs but they'll allow all 3 - although I did get tentatively asked 'how big are they?' when I asked if 3 would be a problem :-D

£10 for all 3 or £10 each? I used to go to Travelodges but they are now charging £20 per dog which was insane when I was considering bringing all 3! Cheaper to go to the B&B, but I'll think about Holiday Inn another time if it's only £10 for 2 or 3 dogs.

She said £10 per night, not per dog. Seems each Holiday Inn or Express have their own policy. Stayed in the Express near East Midlands airport a few times where they don't charge for dogs at all but wasn't quite in the right location this time.
I refuse to stay in Travelodges now.

I don't mind paying a small fee for dogs because it does take longer to clean rooms etc if a dog has been in. We stayed at Days Inn  for Driffield on friday and it was £10. Pity anyone staying there who didn't like dogs though - there were dozens of dogs staying ;-)

Thanks, I'll check them out next time I have a long distance show!
