Not 100% showing but we had our 2 day champ show this w/end and I am happy to say that in the show all my breeding was well placed...but the icing on the cake..Merlot showed she is not just a pretty face, on her 1st ever meeting with a cart she excelled herself and took to it like a duck to water passing her "First draft" like a pro on her 1st attempt, she accepted the harness and cart like she had done it every day of her life and showed the world that she is a true working Bernese Mountain Dog...I am so pround of her. Oh and she piloted a very small borrowed child around the junior handling ring to gain a 3rd place....and us with no children at home so we have to borrow one!!!! Said small girl was on tiptoe to see over Merlots head at one point :) ;) but she powered round the ring with gentleness and grace. Thanks Mops...you are my little (BIG) star and I love your nature....

That sounds lovely, I always love to see the working dogs like BMD, Dallies etc doing their stuff!

I would have expexted nothing less of the fabulous Merlot .
One day maybe when the sheps get too much for me who knows (not just wishful thinking I hope) there is nothing gentle about my girl.

Way to go Merlot, she also did well in obedience too don't forget, you never came back for your 'stays'...Bet she is very tired today then..Mine were zonked out last night...

If I hadn't been sooo tired i'd of stuck mine through that course too... Very tiring but such an enjoyable weekend and I can't wait for the big one next year :-D
