hi my friend has a large litter of 11 pups now 6week old ,she has a massive pen for them but has you can imagen are full on LOL her vet has told her to attach the bottles around the pen as the pups are just knocking their water bowls as soon as she puts them down ,just wondered if they of you have tried this? i will let you know how she goes on ,if this works i will be tring this with mine just at night time ,cus i worry about them laying in the water :) x
I have wondered this, especially when you put water down and then its a game to dig it all out!!
i say i will be tring it ,thats when my girl desides to come into season LOL ,

If they were mine at 6 weeks they would chew up the bottles.
I use a couple of the large pottery bowls outside for water as the steel ones would just be carried about. Inside I only give water in a clip bowl

I would be a little worried in case they chewed the end and ate the ball bearing in the end
yes ive thought about that too! ive been and looked at the 1s my friend has got and their not cheap bottles the metal at the ends are very strong so will watch and see how her pups go with them :)
ive tried the steel clip bowls and my pups still tip them out the holders lol x

When we had young dogs out in the kennels during the daytime, we used an old wheelbarrow tyre (I think it was a wheelbarrow tyre - relatively small!) with the water bowl in the middle - it did take up a fair amount of space but it did mean that they couldn't spill it! Whilst it would work in a puppy pen, I'm not sure how you'd get on in the kitchen, for instance!

My friend's Cavalier drinks out of a rabbit bottle when he's put in his crate when they go out, it does look funny but he doesn't seem to mind.
been to my friends this morning and her pups love the bottles and are drinking very well with them ,so i will be getting some for my next litter :) x
like them off ebay sharon :) might have to order some ;)
