Hi, I feed my dogs Purina Pro plan, and am a member of their breeders club, and they do puppy packs call 08000279022 or the rep I call his number is 07736 235929.

pedigree do a good one

my pup came with a James Wellbeloved pack from the breeder. Think it was 2.5kg Food and a silver plastic bowl. I remember the breeder spoke to them on their stand at Crufts and the packs (10 in the litter) were delivered a few days later.

Eukanuba do good packs too.Very good food also , esp for large breed dogs
- By donnamwilliams1 [gb] Date 16.12.02 21:10 UTC
I also use Eukanuba and am a member of their breeders club - they are good (small breeds too)

I recommend Nutro, the only thing is you have to pay a fiver for each puppy pack but what you get for the money is of more value than £5. Stainless steel bowl, large holdall, squeaky toy, measuring cup, 2kg bag of food and numerous leaflets.

I also gave away Beta food and Pedigree with my last litter but only recommend the Pedigree.

I also do the Eukanuba (when I bring the pups in for their shots the vet gives them to me and their health book too).

I got a Eukanuba one with Kassie:) Measuring cup etc- which I still use to this day but I think Lily Munsters sounds great:D :D

Hiya
Naturediet also do a breeders club, not sure what you get with it though. They wouldn't let me join as I don't have 3 or more breeding bitches!
I am a member of the Beta breeders club. My vet recomended the food initially and have found my puppies thrive on it. They have always been really helpful with any enquiries I've had, and as soon as my litters have been born got food, and puppy packs straight to me. They also follow up with money off coupons and things for the new owners.

I use Professional Choice Special Recipe, and their puppy food with fabulous results, :D they supply puppy packs, which come in a 12" square plastic bucket, with a 2kg bag of puppy food, puppy shampoo, chews, leaflets etc, and they are delivered via Royal Mail for their breeder service members.

Just wandering do you have to pay for these puppy packs or are they complimentry?
- By kia mummy [gb] Date 18.12.02 12:54 UTC
I'm with Beta and it doesn't cost anything. You get a 15kg bag for weaning your pups and a3 kg bag and puppy advice wallet to pass on to each new owner.I was up until a year ago using another well known make but since changing to Beta ,I can see the difference, the pups are really happy on it ,positively thriving.Wouldn't change to anything else now.

Bliss, out of interest, why do you want to know this???
- By jakieboy [gb] Date 18.12.02 18:21 UTC
I contacted Nutro, their packs are slightly cheaper at the mo cos they have run out of holdalls and are sending dog towels instead. You have to join their breeder club, and they are sending me all the info in the post.

I feed all my dogs/puppies on beta and i find this food fantastic, But no matter how much i stress to my customers they all have there own oppinoins which is fine, I was searching for just one other brand of food so that my puppies could leave with at least two good brands, And hopefully the customer would use at least one of these. After months of reasearch i did come up with another brand reccomended by most And this is the brand proffessional choice. I do hope i have managed to answer your question.
- By sam Date 18.12.02 20:14 UTC
Bliss, yes, just wondered thats all. i thought maybe you were looking for the best breeder package & then going to feed your dogs on it!!! :D Seriously though, your pups should only go with the food they are fed on, and the "either or" situation doesn't sound a good idea to me. I agree with you on beta and feed it myself, but as long as new owners stick to it for the 1st few weeks, thats all you can ask...after that its up to them. I would stick with the Beta and tell your buyers how important it is that they give the pup the diet you suggest.
- By kia mummy [gb] Date 19.12.02 15:20 UTC
So long as they wean the puppy off correctly onto their chosen food I don't think it matters what puppy pack you give them 9 out of 10 of them will choose what they want anyway. All that matters is you have given them the best possible start in life and by giving them, the free food and advice hopefully they will continue to get the best diet

Hi
We are with the Beta breeders club which incidently has now been taken over by Pro Purina.
- By JoFlatcoat (Moderator) [gb] Date 19.12.02 21:34 UTC
When I asked to join Beta, they wanted to make me promise to sign that I would only ever feed Beta, which I couldn't do - at least not with much of a clear conscience! Don't like to be brainwashed like that.

Jo and the Casblaidd Flatcoats
- By sam Date 19.12.02 21:55 UTC
ALL THEY asked of me jo, was that i didn't join/advocate any other breeders plan, which seemed fair enough to me
- By kia mummy [gb] Date 20.12.02 09:54 UTC
Well they didn't mention either of those things to me .All they asked was that I fill in the puppy registration forms with the new puppy owners names and addresses
- By sam Date 20.12.02 17:36 UTC
Kia, it was on the declaration form you should have signed.
