Just wondered if anyone can help with any advice .... I wormed my pups with panacur liquid last saturday as they turned 2 weeks old but stupidly mis understood the instructions and didn't realise they had to have a dose on 3 consecutive days ( no sleep with 2 litters and a poorly child is sending my brain into meltdown I think ! ) so only did one dose . I have now realised my stupid mistake as I need to worm my other litter and was wondering whether it is safe to re start the 3 day course with the litter that had the single dose on saturday ? Can I overdose them and hurt them ? Sorry , first litters and still learning .....
Really appreciate any help :-)

If it were me I would forget the first dose and start again. Tip is to write it down on on their weight chart, you have to weigh them to get the dose right and its easy to make a note of each puppy as you dose them, then just tick each one off as you do them.

If the mother had been wormed through pregnancy then I would wait to do them again for at least two weeks from when they were done, taking it to 4 weeks and then do them again before leaving.

I only ever do mien at 3 - 3 1/2 weeks and 7 - 7 1/2 weeks but the Mum will have had her 25day dose during pregnancy and first days after whelping.

I had problems when I followed the 3 times regime with puppies, and went back to doing them twice as vet had advised previous to having data sheet from manufacturer.

Yes , Mom was done daily from day 40 until 2 days post whelp ( she whelped on day 61 ) ... I got that bit right , although that was before sleepless nights with whelping and worrying ... it's just now I've started to lose the plot I think ;-)

I use Panacur regime for my pregnant bitches, and honestly think that your pups aren't going to have a heavy worm burden.  I agree with Barbara.

So stop worrying!  :-)  :-)

Great being a zombie ain't it!!
