Topic Dog Boards / General / Car Crate - Dobermann
- By kashmir [gb] Date 22.09.10 09:55 UTC
I currently transport my 4.5month old Dobermann in the boot of my car she is however quickly outgrowing it and we are looking for a larger car to purchase (not just for the dog but hopefully for our expanding family!) I was wondering though can you get car crates for Dobermanns? If so can anyone suggest what size is suitable (she would never be in the car for extended periods) or if not how do you all transport you large dogs?

Thanks

A dobe will normally need a 42 x 28 x 30inch crate for the height (30 inches).

Big crates rarely fit into a car well so a shaped crate is yoru best option.  The larger oen of these would be adeguate.

Depends on the car you get but

make light weight ones to fit whatever size you want, they are also easier to lift than some of the others if you need to be putting it in and out of the car often.
