The stud dog i am hoping to use next year has shcm after his kc name what does it mean please.

Show Certificate of Merit - it's for points won at open shows, point system a bit like JW but points are only available at Open Shows.  I believe it was to encourage people to support Open Shows, someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

Yes, that's right, it means he has won a certain number of BOB and Group placings at open shows. :-)
