I've been searching and just wondered if any of the hotels/motels accept dogs which are located at the NEC?
Just planning in advance for Crufts, trying to save money etc. Not sure whether i'd stay the night before or the night of as we are showing on a Friday and I hate the M25 on a friday evening, it would be just my luck i'd get caught up in the car park of it all...;-)
Last time I went up there I stayed in a motel on the M40 the night before, which was great but that was a saturday..And thought to be on the door step of the show would be a great idea.

Hi,
I have booked into a hotel within the NEC it is called Ibis Hotel, and excepts dogs, as must have, if your showing at Crufts!!

etap at the airport,
very basic,but clean
has double with single bunk above it,
shower in room, toilet in room sink in room,tv in room
dogs allowed,think 2 per room,
continental breakfast included,
theres a shuttle train that takes u into nec from inside airport, few mins walk,or u can drive round to nec carparks,
normally costs around £25 room...which is bargain if 3 ppl in room..
downside..its airport carpark,think around £15/
so all in all if 3 ppl staying its £40 between you all

Hi Jayne,
Just checked that out and normally cheap but does go up for Crufts to £55p/n, rooms still available and only allow 1 dog in the room. Breakfast not included in that price.
I'm going to think about that as have only been showing 1 dog so far this year and not sure if i'm going to end up qualifying the other as yet, so i'm going to keep my options open and book somewhere which will accept 2 dogs.
Well worth it for others though if they only have 1 dog with them.
I always book a travelodge on the edge of Birmingham. Only a 10/15 min drive into the NEC in the morning, but no inflated Crufts prices. Unfortunately they have now started charging £20 a dog!!!

Where I stayed last time was perfect, about 30 mins drive away on the M40 but that didn't bother me, maybe I should go back there again as I think I paid about £40 with no charges for dogs, they still don't either.

Try the Old Mill at Baginton, they are very reasonable with a nice quiet carpark
