Hi every1 :)

been waiting for 1 of our girls to come into season ,she has them every 4months ,she is starting to swell now , how long does it take for the bleeding to start from the swelling, we are going away soon for a week :( and very worried we will miss her 1st day of bleeding ,we tried to mate her last season from day 10 but she was having none of it ,so i really dont want to miss this time x

>how long does it take for the bleeding to start from the swelling

Each bitch is different - how long has it been on her previous seasons?

:)
Last time my girl was swollen for over a month before starting to bleed.
Previous season she was not swollen at all until she started to bleed...
This time, we will not even guess what will happen or when the season will come!

Could the person looking after them "paper test" her everyday?

One of my girls is quite swollen tonight but no colour yet, I was hopin that her mum would come in first as they've been standing on their tiptoes and pecking each other the last week LOL.

I'm on Season watch too :) Stud dog all lined up, route planned, 2 overnight stays with friends in the area organised, just waiting for her Ladyship to come into season. She usually goes 9-10 months & it's now 9 months & 9 days since her last one. Good luck to everyone else who's waiting :)

I'm waiting too it will be 6 months tomorrow that she last came in and she is usually a 6 month girl! but at least i have this to keep me busy as my husband is away in Baghdad for 6 months

Well I must be losing my marbles. I said my girl was on 9 months & 9 days...but I'm a month out lol. I should have said 8 months 9 days. I've totally lost track now...she started her last season on 4th Jan, so, knowing my girl, we'll have a season anytime between now & Christmas! Good luck to those still waiting :)
- By white lilly [gb] Date 22.09.10 14:15 UTC

Mine are coming in a month late or on time which way you look at it.  one just in the other to follow almost straight after.

Its like waiting for christmas.
- By white lilly [gb] Date 22.09.10 16:23 UTC
the wait is killing me sunshine ,she missed last time so i really want this ,so now i feel like 1st thing on my mind is to run down stairs in the morning and check her my hubby thinks im going mad lol
- By sunshine [gb] Date 22.09.10 16:32 UTC
Me too.  The one i'm waiting on missed last time also.  Its like wishing your life away.  I'm hoping third time lucky and we have babies.

I'm actually looking forward to all the hard work and sleepless nights.  My spare room is already prepared lol and room set aside in the lounge for when she wants to be moved down stairs (if she doesn't chose there first of course).
- By Brainless [gb] Date 22.09.10 18:08 UTC
Ditto, I am also waiting on one that missed last time.
- By Emz77 [gb] Date 22.09.10 18:22 UTC
you sound as manic as i get whitelilly... but luckily for me the wait is over we are on day 3 now draminski is in action and hopefully she will take, it has been 18months since her last litter and I am looking forward to the combination we will using. I am sending some season vibes your way ;-)
