I think my girl maybe pregnant it is totally unplanned stupid paper boy left gate open when she was in season she got out and after searching for her she turned up looking dishevelled and with spit on the back of her head.At the time I joked to my OH she look like she'd been with another dog weel now about seven weeks later I have noticed she is getting really fat and every on else commented on it and today her belly has suddenley drop and she is producing milk and also today she went behind the couch and was digging like mad.Do you think this could just be a phantom I really didn@t want her to have any pups so really worried

It's a great shame that it has got this far, as it would have been so much easier to just get her the injection when you had just guessed that it may have happened.

A visit to the vet pronto, and a scan is what I recommend.  You don't have much time to buy everything you need for whelping.

If it's 7 weeks ago, it's perfectly viable for her to whelp in a weeks time.  You need to have enough money put aside for a C-section in case she has been mated to a dog much larger than herself.

Oh - and get her spayed after?  :-)

I agree with you was totally stupid and niave should have gone with my first instinct but you just dont think it will happen still hoping it might phantom but prob not.Just have to make sure she gets the best care I wanted to get her spayed but was put of when my sister in law got her bitch spayed and the stitches burst and her inside came out and she nearly died.But after this I wil definetley be having a word with my vet.

I agree - get her scanned asap, as you don't have any idea what mated her, some idea of size of pugs could be invaluable, especially if she is a small dog - you and vet can then prepare for possible C section if they look like big pups.  Good luck.
