I have just started using F4Ds salmon for my dogs.....so far its proving to suit them after 1 week....early days I know.
Just wondering who else uses F4Ds  or who has used it and whats your opinion on this food.

I've been using it for my 5 RRs and 2 Aussies for a couple of months or so now and am very impressed :) Dogs love it and all in great condition and I don't have to feed a vast amount and not too much in the way of  "deposits" either. A 15 kg sack lasts me around 5 - 6 days.

I have recently started with fish4dogs, but, having quite a decent amount of my previous food in stock, I am still feeding half and half.

After a couple of months I am already seeing an improvement in the coat condition of my elderly Bearded Collie, who has thyroid problems, a heart murmer, and has had a splenectomy.

Her coat has been very thin since her thyroid problems, but it is no longer dull looking, and I am really pleased to see a shine that was definitely not there before changing.  I still have previous food to use up, but can only see that will continue to improve as they change over totally.

I have already found that I need to feed less, so feel that it is very good value too.  And the poos are great.

It sounds like you are both very pleased with the f4ds....I am pleased after mixing it for a while with old complete and now on f4ds full time for 1 week.
Good solid poos and very calm and very fish smelling unlike some other fish completes I have used.....also do seem to use less.
Hubby says its smells good enough to take as bait for carp fishing.....he would most lightly catch more lol

My dogs breeder changed from rc to f4ds and is very pleased. Originally just for one dog who had allergies (gluten I think) but was so pleased now feeds to all her dogs and recommends to owners.

My Friend who primarily fed raw, but has had her supplier hike the price out of viability has gone onto this full time with her dogs and has noticed especially how little she needs to feed compared to other completes she has used.

If you qualify for the breeders scheme it makes it quite a bit cheaper.

I feed raw and always have a sack of back up.  I currently have a sack of Salmon and am pleased with it

Having fed Fish4dogs for about 2 years I can't praise it enough. I have recommended it to a number of people and they have all been delighted with it.

I usually buy mine at champ shows and pay either £20 or £25 for a bag. Also, they will deliver it free if you 3 x 15kg bags. If you look at their website they have a list of all the shows they are attending.

I can say that it's not a bad price at all, if it's free delivery.  I just logged in as a breeder on the F4D site to check for you, and breeders price is £32 but I think you do need to have a certain number of breeding bitches.

I've been feeding this alongside Autarky (for economic reasons) for most of this year and it suits all ages. My 9year old has the best coat ever. I did notice though that one of the younger ones poos 4 times a day instead of her usual twice when fed this (still normal motions) so maybe a bit rich. I only use their fish stick treats now and the dogs love them the advantage being they are good for them & non fattening.

Yes you do have to breed to be entitled to the discount.
The price I have got at bowmeaow is good....I will go with that.

At shows they do 3 bags for £75.

At some of the shows you can buy a bag for £20, usually buy a few at each show, excellent food!

Someone was asking me about his yesterday.. at the show when they have the £20 bags occasionally is it the 15kg bags?  I wasn't sure as never really looked before.

The £20 bags are 13kg, but they do the 15kg bags for £25.

I have one of my girls on this now after it was recommended by a friend in the breed. I haven't been able to get her in good coat all this year after she went off challenge salmon complete. She now eats this really well and her coat is coming back at an astonishing rate and looks like it will be as good as it used to be! I buy 15kg bags off the website for £29 but will be picking it up at shows from now on if its even cheaper! The dogs all love the fish treats too, even my fussy puppy!!

Wow how can it be so much more expensive on the F4D website (12kg for £50)! I though the working dog bags were cheaper but seems better to buy the finest, just not from F4D website.

What variety are you guys feeding mostly - Sardine, Salmon or fish (adult) and does anyone know the lowest fat?

I will tell you what shocked me this weekend! I went to Richmond and they were selling the F4D's treat at any 3 for £10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is double what they were offering at WELKS and 3 Counties!!!! I was disgusted!

Usually they are 2 for £5. Maybe the stand cost them a lot more at Richmond.

In answer to the question re what variety we feed, I have fed both Salmon and Cod, but have not tried the sardine.

Overall I was really miffed with Richmond this year and I am not the only one. I dont think I will enter again :o(

I now feed this to mine and I am on the breeders scheme, this entitles you to free delivery too and also I only have 1 breeding bitch so there is no minimum limit on breeding bitches.
