Hello all

Im new to this site and have come to gain some other's opinion's /advice

My girl who was mated and had a litter  then went on to develop pyo after the litter arrived , she recovered and everything went on to be well .
After hearing a few different opinions from people I am now wondering is it advisable to mate again on the following season (so would be back to back) as I have been informed this would lower the chance of pyo reocurring ? are these old wifes tales or is there some truth in it ?

Every bitch should have a clear season between litters; there is no medical reason for her to be mated on the season following the birth of a litter. The pyo thing is an old wives' tale.
