I just wondered if anyone has been here and if so what places you would reccomend to stay very close to a nice beach. Also is it safe for a woman and daughter on thier own?

Yup been this year and last and loved it.  Stayed at the Suite Atlantis is Corralejo, which is a five minute walk from a little square where there are shops, restaurants and pubs and about fifteen minute walk from the main street, which is a little bit tacky imo.  There is also a beach we found this time a five minute walk to, so saved us going to the dunes where the Riu hotels are.  They look nice, but a bit far out and not really walkable to anything.

A friend of mine has been to Caleta with his wife and kids and he liked it.  May consider there next time as have been to Corralejo twice.

I think it'd be pretty safe for you and your daughter.  The place we stayed at was all inclusive and there really was no need to go out of the complex at night if you didn't want to.

Yep just myself with my daughter.(calet) Had a lovely time. Found the looky looky people a bit much at first but quickly realised as long as you don't make eye contact they leave you alone.

If you can, go on the buggies out in the dunes fantastic!!
