Has anyone got any ideas or recommendations of ridding my chicken house of red mite. I've sprayed the house with poultry shield which is having no effect whatsoever. I've also powdered the birds with red mite powder.

In the olden days cleaning then creosoting the house was recommended but as creosote is now banned are there any other options that work? I was thinking of putting a blow torch to the house as I assume the mites couldn't survive that?
