Sorry this is kind of following on from another thread i have commented on but i didnt want to hijack that thread as my own girl has given me a real dilema just this afternoon.
my girl who had to have a c-section last new years eve has gone and completely messed up my plans by coming into season today 7 weeks early!!!!
She had just one stillborn puppy and due to just the one puppy and it already being dead she never went into full labour, now i would of tried again on her next season if she had delivered her one dead puppy naturally, however due to her being opened up i chose to skip a season and mate in one year as i felt it would ensure that everything had fully healed internally.
Because she is early it means her puppies would be ready bang on christmas which i really dont like the idea of too much.....my dilema is do i mate her or do i wait for another 6 months, which isnt a problem at all (though i really want my new baby) its just after reading peoples comments on the other thread about scar tissue building up if left too long i dont want to miss my final chance for my puppy.....anyone had a gap of 18 months or 2 years after a c-section and had a healthy litter with a good delivery????
I have time to think things over but peoples experiences would be great to hear as i thought waiting was the best thing for my girl but now i'm not so sure
