does anyone know what the shopping is like at the SKC?
also is there alot of people from the forum going? This is my first time at the SKC. So looking forward to it!

There is usually quite a few stands there, not as many as some of the shows further south of course but still enough there for one to spend a fortune with out knowing it! :)
I'm going, I love SKC as it's not really far from the ferry, only a 2.5hours drive, I just hate the rubbish layout they always have!
well its the closest champ show to me! Only 1.5 hour drive from Dundee. Got my entry pass the other day, my boys class is first thing and his breed is first in his ring number to! Early morning then ahh.
Well im off tot hte states for a month holiday soon so maybe i should keep my cash and cards at home!! haha.
altho i REALLY want a new set from Essenjay ...

I have always found the shopping as good as at the English Champ shows. Most of the usual stands are there

What are you riding? A pushbike? ;-) I'm in Inchture and the journey is done in an hour! LOL

I've done it in an hour too - very difficult to get lost there (famous last words!).

You need to allow your self a little extra time for finding your way around the show ground, and tracking down you benching tent so you can get your number - the SKC layout can be a little hard to work out, and benching can be quite a walk away from the rings. Most pug people tend to just "camp out" in the grooming area/around the ring rather than in the benching tents. ot save on the travelling time between the two.
Yeh the benching can sometimes be a bit to far to walk back and forth to, I tend to stay ring side. I don't feel comfortable leaving my dogs alone at the bench. I did see a few dogs at a recent champ show left on there own for hours at the bench which I thought was a bit sad :-(
Let's hope for nice weather next weekend :-). Gwen are you going?

We will be there on Sunday for a look and handling a bitch for someone else. Shopping is quite good. And 1.5hrs from Dundee should be more than adequate.

Beat me to it Christine was just going to say was she walking :-)
Plenty stalls at SKC and all in a good lay out for walking round. I quite like SKC show ground to be honest. I feel at some of the ones down south it takes forever to get round the showground.
At Wales the Stakes from my ring would have required a taxi :-D :-D
not walking no ;-( dont be meen! Im not used to this driving malarky!
