My puppy has really smelly wind, and I mean room emptying smelly, not just your usual dog pump smell.
Is there anything I can do that might decrease this problem, it can be very embarrasing.
She is on Orijen puppy food.

You do not say the breed but excessive fermentation in the gut is not normal and I would be having a word with the vet, could be it just requires a change of food, or she could need worming - there are a few of the bull breeds that seem to be very windy no matter what you feed but even if it is a bull breed I would have the vet take a look at her as there are reasons that need medical intervention.

Sounds to me its food related. Make sure its meals are small and frequent and if it were my dog, I would have a vet check and change the food.
She's a Doberman, I've had her at the vet and they say she is fine. She's had smelly wind ever since I got her 5 weeks ago. Her food has been changed but it doesn't seem to make any difference. She's fine in herself nothing else untoward just very smelly gas!

I can only recommend a raw natural diet. All mine have small firm and non wiffy poos and no wind atall. My sister feeds a cheap complete to her dogs and you need a gas mask sometimes when you are in their kitchen! If the vet has given her a clean bill of health then its all in what you feed her.
I also have a very windy dog (dog de bordeaux).
When he is windy it is very stinky and clears people from the room!!
His wind is definately food related, cheese related in fact!
He just gets cheese treats on occasion now. As windy as he is; I still think he's gorgeous!!! x
