My Inca was 26 months with her first season, second one 12 months later where she was mated and had a fantastic litter of 9 healthy pups.
Typical though, when she hadn't had one at 2 years we took her to the vet for blood tests etc. obviously all came back clear/normal, then 8 weeks later came in season...lol.
Never give up hope. I was just about to book her in for a thyroid blood test to see if that was the problem when hey presto and it occured with no other bitcches in season at that time. Diane
My bitch is 22 months and still hasn't had her first season, we have had her blood tests done at the vets and the vet says he is capable of ovulating. I am just in a dilmemma as she is to be my foundation bitch (hopefully)...
My girl (giant breed) didnt have her first season until she was 2.5yrs. My other girl is spayed, so she didnt have anyone to 'encourage' her. I dont know if that was a factor...?
