Could anybody indicate me the  reference to the working standard of springer and cocker?

I don't think there is a separate standard - the two 'types' of both breeds should be just the same in appearance.

Cocker spaniel breed standard.
English Springer Spaniel breed standard.

There is a difference between show and working cockers, try the spaniel owners club page.

Thanks all for their answers.. But I meant the description of the cocker's and springer's ideal work... the working style of springer and cocker..
just like this of the irish setter http://www.irishredandwhitesetterclub.org/working_standard.htm
Or may be somebody could show here the difference between cocker's and springer's working style?

Copied and pasted from someone who posted about this recently on another forum I go on, that I know works with their spaniels, and I believe competes when they get chance......

"Cockers should be much smaller, and far more busy in their hunting action, they should hunt a very tight pattern , which I've heard described as like a blanket stitch, it has also been said that the best ones hunt like stoats, which for those who've never seen a stoat in action, is a very short, sharp, angular hunting pattern.

Springers on the other hand, tend to have a much more open and flowing hunting style, often with their heads slightly up, and a very pronounced swagger on the back end. Their is more a a variation in size in Springers, FT springers are generally smaller, whereas on an normal shoot, you get a much greater size range.

In terms of temperament, I find Cockers are very demanding. They want to be with you, all the time, and up close and personal, they love human contact.

Springers, in my experience, tend to be a little more laid back."

I haven't worked with cockers, but worked alongside people who have, (I have owned and worked Springers) I find their working method to be quite frenzied and intense, working very small areas at a time

Springers are very high drive, will work much further away and work a wide grid, back and forth moving forward on each turn, and tend to range out much further than cockers

basically, cockers are used for close work, springers are sent out on distance

Both are very high drive, constant action, intense, but I do agree that of the two, springers are less highly strung, but only just

Any shoot I have been on beating, in the trailer (humans and dogs together) springers will sit by masters feet, cockers are waiting eagerly with nose to door waiting for it to open :-)
