anyone still looking to book a ferry to travel stranraer to belfast 25th september for belfast show i suggest you look at the prices on the official stena line website
if you book a day trip it works out so much cheaper
we are booked on the 3,30 am crossing and return on the 5pm crossing
we have just booked and for 3 adults and a child it was 110 return,
what a bargain
PRICES CHANGE I THINK, from day to day i booked on the 12th for 3 adults and a vivaro van and it was £162
Thats cheap, hope them prices are about next year.
I don't use the that route but travel Holyhead - Dublin regularly and have found Irish Ferries to be much cheaper than Stena for a motorhome or van if you are not booking months ahead. You do have to phone a special number though for day trip or weekend bookings as the rates are hidden away on the site more as a FAQs section.

We have used the day trip fare for the last three years as it always works out cheaper than the schedule fare. We show on the Sunday so our ferry leaves at 04.45. I heard a rumour at the weekend that the early ferry is now full, if anyone is hoping to go I would suggest checking this out.

If you use the belfast code that is in the schedule it is £136 for 2 days 2 passengers.
We have gotten it for £136 for the last 5 years.
i think the code changes every year so you will have to put in the new one
but think its on the stenna ferry

The code in the schedule is for special single fares each way, this is a saving if you are going for 2 days or more. If you are just going for the day you are shpwing you pay the day return fare if you book the day trip which comes out at £110.

If you have a Tesco clubcard & get your points through you can now convert them to 4 times their value to use on certain ferries to Ireland. I have enough saved to get me over to Ireland if I so wished and also across to France using the Eurotunnel!
can you use airmiles on the euro tunnel then? how do you use your clubcard points ? do you convert them?

I booked the day trip to belfast option after speaking with Stenaline by phone and she told me it was the cheapest way. I leave at 4.45am and return on the 5pm and got it for £15 return!!! Will just get taxi round to hall

The was a leaflet that told you how to convert Clubcard points I think it came along with them, I can't remember how it happens, maybe the Tesco website or Customer Services would tell you. But the face value is multipled by 4!
