I have been surrounded by dogs for 70 years but still learn new things daily from this site, it helps me make 'old ideas' up to date.( who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks?)

Me too, it's great to hear the alternatives, find out more about different breeds, and occasionally be a little bit helpful myself!

Surely thats part and parcel of being a dog lover. Who else runs around the park like a loony to get their attention, gets up at all times of the night to stand in the pouring rain in the garden when they have an upset tum, lives with doghair in their bed, carpet and food, and gets excited to see a lovely shaped and coloured poo.

Waking up with dogs in the house is better than having Christmas every day. To be fair, there are a lot of similarities: being woken up to early for comfort, shredded paper all over the floor that fills up the garbage can 20 times over, occasionally things you really didn't want (yeuccch....), but hey, on the plus side, take it from your dog's point of view. At Christmas the tree comes inside to be peed on! :)

By the way...what's loopy? :)

I never had a dog before Humphrey, and it is true, no family is complete without a dog : )

Round the bend or silly.

i can live with being like that.  i'm sure the dogs look sometimes as if to 'say grow'.
