Topic Dog Boards / Health / How big is 'a scoop'?
- By tatty-ead [gb] Date 13.08.10 11:04 UTC
I was reading the 'plaque-off' topic the other day,
Zuma has a small amount of tarter starting on his teeth but throws a hissy fit when I try and put a brush or finger in and rub his teeth so I wanted to try something else.
I got a tub of CSJ parsley and seaweed which arrived this morning............label says 'large dog - 2 scoops' but How big is a scoop?????.
Its not exactly cheap so I would prefer to only used the minimum needed which is likely to be less than makers reccommended amount.
Also if it works any suggestions for anywhere cheaper than CSJ own site, I paid £10.50 for 100g from them?

Think you had better ring them, a Scoop depends on what it was designed for ie pooperscooper or one for dry peas.

Have you checked to see if there is a scoop inside the tub? I imagine that you have :)

Thanks for the suggestions, Yes I checked the tub - which is quite small, 100g - but no scoop. there were a few people who said they use it on the original thread so maybe someone will come on to tell me

Scoop should be in the tub its a tiny dark blue perspex type thingy.

ThankyouThankyouThankyou

Got it, as you said its Tiny, about 1" long and holds ½g,

I had stired round in the tub to check and missed it, just emptied tub with a teaspoon and it was hiding about half way down.

2 x ½g per day will last a lot longer so I should find out if it works before I worry about buying more
Thank you, Chris

I would have expected a scoop in the container.  it may have worked its way to the bottom.

I did exactly the same thing when I started giving Puriphy to my elderly dogs.

I thought it just meant a teaspoon - but half way down found this tiny blue thingy.
