We have used wainwrights puppy salmon and potato on our last 2 pups(Golden Retrievers)and was very happy with it....with no upset tums....and very calm pups.
The ingredients compare very well with some of the premium completes.
I now use wainwrights adult and their coats and condition are superb.
Thanks for that, there are so many different ones to choose from.!!! Just want her to be fit and healthy. Ive had dogs before but never a labrador so any advice that you could give would be greatly appreciated.

When we got our Golden Retriever puppy she was being fed on pro plan , we slowly changed her over to wainwrights, what a mistake!! She got chronic upset tum going to the loo 7 or 8 times a day sometimes with mucus and steaks of blood in it . We stopped the food on our vets request fed her chicken and rice then slowly introduced a food called Symply . What've difference fab coat excellent digestion an all round happy pup. We did use the large breed and found it very good value and you don't have to feed too much.

I use the Wainwrights too. I have found this a great food and it's kind of middle of the road price but a much higher meat content than most of the other middle of the road priced completes. I spent a lot of time comparing ingredients when I was deciding on a food for our puppy as I was not happy with the complete we usually use. I use to use Beta but after feeding our dogs, their tummies are huge from the amount of swelling the food does. I then tried a piece in some water and it shocked me! I never fed it again. No wonder my lot were so sleepy after tea, they couldn't move! Check the labels for yourself and you'll see how good a food it is.
Also, with wainwrights, you also get a full refund if your dog doesn't like it.
Thanks for the advice on wainwrights, we are going to stick with that, i have gradually started putting some in her food so as not to upset her tum. Could i trouble you for some more advice please.? She is not very keen on water and doesnt seem to have much at all during the day, yesterday we added abit of milk to flavour it and she drank it all and her tummy has been fine. Should i carry on doing that or just leave her till she drinks the plain water. Bit scared she will get dehydrated. She is eating really well and seems very happy.

Mine gets milk and it doesn't upset her stomach either. I wouldn't worry about her not drinking much as long as there is always fresh water available, she'll drink when she's thirsty. I give the milk as food(in with her biscuits) rather than a drink.
Thankyou very much for your reply, i feel abit better now.!! She is so gorgeous & cute. She is fast asleep now and having a dream by the looks of it, hope its a good one.!!

Milk alone is not ideal for pups as it can upset their tums.
Pup will drink the water when thirsty...so dont worry too much with the milk being added.
