Does anyone know where to get pin brushes without bobbles on top or bristle brushes for shih tzus? No pet shops or groomers seem to sell them and I can't find a good site with pics on the internet!
Thanks
Alison

Alison,
Try
Here. I've bought brushes from them in the past and find they are good, they last well and aren't ruinously expensive

Thanks so much, Anne - I've been to the link and selected 2 brushes but can't find the page to submit my order! Something weird is going on in the Hindes website!!
Will try again....

If my memory serves me well I think the owners of long coated breeds that I know mostly use `Mason
Pearson` brushes, they are not cheap but I believe last for years. They are not specifically for dogs and I think are available from chemists.

Thanks also to Carole - I thought about getting a Maison Pearson but will try Hindes first (I think they're quite a bit cheaper!) if I can ever get on their website order form!
thanks again

Hi Alison
I have Afghans and have always used a Mason and Pearson nylon and bristle brush. You can get them from the bigger Boots in two different sizes (I think), have now had my last one for about 15 years! I have also used the metal pin brush without bobbles. These I have got from Hindes.

Hi Alison,
I use a pin brush without bobbles etc for my Tibetan Terrier. I got it from Pets at Home (I think that's what it's called. It's the pet shop inside Focus or Wickes DIY stores.)
I found a pic
here It's quite far down the page - code no W6141D. I think Petsmart had them too. If you do a search on *google* for Safari pin brushes it gives loads of pages.

Hi Dot! Many thanks for your info - never thought of Wickes! The trouble with looking online is they don't make it clear enough which pin brushes have bobbles and which don't... at least it isn't clear to me!! Say no more...
I'll try the website you gave me for Safari.. how do all of you know how to create a link on a webpage?? Soooo clever!
Cheers
Alison

Alison,
If you click on Help at the top right it shows you how to do all kinds of useful things, you too can look as clever as us :-D Sadly it's an illusion ;-)

Anne thanks for the help tip. Will now go and look at it and soon I'll be as good as all of you! Ah, but will I be clever enough to create the illlusion that I'm as good at computering and internetting as you lot!
.....`nope - I've just read it and it's completely mystifying. You ARE clever to understand all that gobbledygook! Sigh. Thanks anyway!!!
All the best
Alison
