Hi all,
I mated my girl 7 weeks ago, she was scanned by a scan man who i have known for years and used on several occations and he has never been wrong. She was scanned at 4 weeks and no pups were seen. I sulked for about an hour then shrugged the old shoulders lol. Yesterday though, i noticed she had some streamers coming from her they are very clear, she has a bit of a belly on her but i wouldnt say she looks pregnant. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY OTHER REASON WHY SHE COULD BE HAVING STREAMERS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW OF ANY ONLY BEING IN PUP. She is eating well and everything else normal with her.

Would be asking the vet to check her to make sure there is no infection and then perhaps you should get out the whelping gear.

Well, i better get a move on, i booked a holiday when she was scanned as not in pup and we are supposed to go on monday oooopps. The streamers do seem too clear to be any sort of infection but i suppose it could be, i will let you know. Any more suggestions welcome has anyone ever seen this before??????

Suppose it could be the womb lining coming away but there is some reason for it and the most likely would be infection or whelping, but there are all ways occasions that the unexpected and unusual happens (just to keep us on our toes)

if Streamers means clear discharge I had this with my girl who was indeed having a false pregnancy.
Clear no smell to it, lasted for few days when she was due and then stopped.
She was also swollen down there through her whole "pregnancy" but this too went down after the due date.
I did post a question here(about a month ago) and had few responses where bitch had had clear discharge.

Please could you clarify what you mean by "streamers" as it will make a difference to the replies you get - I imagine quite a few people have not heard this expression before. Thanks

Sorry yes i mean discharge, I am getting her scanned on saturday just to make sure. thanks everyone xx
