I have been doing alot of searching and e-mailing breeders. I was wondering if anyone ownes a Cane Corso and have any recomendations on a breeder? Everyone I have e-mailed do require $500 deposit and puppies are anywhere from $2000-$3000, plus extra for ears and flight cost which is totally understandable. Of course a reserve list, which is totally fine with me since I am not looking to have a puppy right away prob within the next year or so cause I no my babies are getting up there in age 9-12yrs. Planning on doing puppy class, Obedience ect not sure about showing or Schutzhund but something I am considering just like to have my options open, of course if I intend to studd then after I do all the tests recommended for a healthy dog, as of right now 1st choice is a well socialized family member. I do want a male cause I don't believe in fixing unless need be and if he is fine with his bits then I'll leave him and socialize him alot as we did with our Wolf/rotti and all our dogs.

thank you

Not sure about over there but its a contentious issue about parting with money over here.

They aren't a breed which we hear or see much of over here.

Please don't get a dog which has had his ears cropped, its not needed, there is no reason to ever have this done to a dog...I know its all the rage in Northern America, but other than its what people do there is no benefit to the dog at all!!

As for breeders i'd be so very careful and would be checking out as many as I could and seeing how their dogs react around you. The breed is not one to mess about with so you need to make sure that the breeder is a good one in the flesh..
Is there a breed club you could ask advice from?

I'm not sure but I might show or get into Scutzhund if I decide to continue so I believe the ears are to be done- Not to sound cruel but I do really like the look- just being honest.

It is alot of money to part with all at once especially since I prob won't meet the breeder- I'd like to but don't think I'd be able to get down there.

Not sure who I would call to see about breeders- I have e-mailed quite a few of them and outta all of them there are 2 I like from talking to them- one not terrible far about a day away and the other about 4-5 days away. Hubby says to stay with the one closer to us.

I have done alot of research and like any dog socialization a must for a well adjusted family member and thats what I want 1st b4 anything else. I'd love to find one with the same gentleness our wolf/rott had- he was so layed back and very easy going, more lazy then anything lol took alot just to get him to play fetch but he loved to go for walks.
