I have lived in my property since 1989 and I have a new neighbour which backs on to part of our garden. He has several jack russel and since one got into my garden and found I had a dog in here has been battering with the others with the others he has  against our fence which is ours so any damaged we have to replace. Since they have been battering at the fence and barking which has caused to holes which we have had to repair it has been winding my dog up and he jumps at the fence which he has never done before. I have spoken to them and they said my dog is the problem but they would put a fence on they side which they have never done and they are the type of people who never do what they say. I am just getting fed up as my dog cannot enjoy his own garden and I can see them damaging the fence again.

for the first time ever we had this issue with our Inka getting excited at the next doors Russells barking and running their side.  She put her head through the panel which had rotted being directly on eh ground, we replaced it as ours had damaged it.

If their dogs get into yours then they should make their end secure.

If your own dog is jumping at the fence ti is likely 6 of one and half dozen of the other.

it might be worth getting some posts and a roll of 2 inch weldmesh or sheep fencing wire and make a fence on the inside of yours about 6 inches in.  it need only be about 3 - 4 foot high.

This will avoid your dog being able to get to the fence,a nd if it is damaged it will be obvious it is their doing, but the wire will hopefully keep them out, and also stop the vicious cycle of them egging each other on.

In this way the novelty for both sets of dogs will wear off and any major neighbour issues hopefully avoided for the future.

Agree put a second barrier on your side, in the past I have used a roll of plastic clematis mesh and some stakes, works well and never rots, can be removed if no longer needed and used again if another use arises such as keeping dogs off newly planted trees or shurbs.
