Hi everyone. Ive just come back from a walk in the park with my 6month old border collie. It started off fine..a bit rainey but we both like that as the park is almost empty and Jim gets a good run at the birds( hes not excellent at recall yet so hes on the lead if there are other dogs arround).
Then we went to the woody bit where I slipped on the mud and slided down a steep hill on my bum. Jim got a bit worried to see me down so when I got up he got a bit excitted and pulled a bit hard on the lead. At which piont I slipped in the mud again and landed in the stream!!!!The look on his little face was probably worth the wet and the cold. My family are killing themselves laughing.
I can say for certain that since having Jim theres never been a dull day!!

I got Anais,my daughter the video "See Spot Run" yesterday. You reminded me of a scene where the guy goes out to let the dog do his business in the middle of the night, whilst distracted the dog finishes up and goes in,locking the guy outside in his slippers and underwear. The guy ends up slipper in dog doo, jumps in disgust removing slipper, bare foot in dog doo, slips, bum in dog doo,dog doo on hands...dog doo everywhere.:D

My Westie Buddy and brother's Scottish Terrier Daisy had a glorious walk today up by the famous 'White Horse' in North Yorks. There's a lake down in the valley so two brothers and two dogs headed off in that direction. (i stayed home to get some Xmas cleaning done- boring). The gang had a great day, getting lost etc. Humans up to their knees in mud. Dogs up to their necks. Dogs had a fight over tit bits, mine came off worse but then he's only 9 months old. My morning was not totally without it's hazards as i took friend on a driving lesson. On Buddy's return i spent an hour removing sticky buds from his coat and showered him. He's all lovely and white again and layed at my feet.

What a grand day.
Maggie
