well not that i actually like most people READ what is IN the contents of dogfood stuff one buys...but i read the HERDING DOGS book recently that mentioned that yes, only 20 percent of dry dogfood is actually MEAT ! amazing...and the quality of corn or whatever ingredients matters ! strewth as aussies say...a revelation...was staring at me in the face for years probably and never realised...what a LOTTA MONEY for NON MEAT FOOD we pay !

20% is quite a descent meat content compared to some dog foods. Many are much lower than that, Some even as low as 4%

I won't use a food that doesn't contain at least 25% meat meal, and one where the percentage of the meat isn't listed.  By splitting ingredients it often can appear as if meat is higher proportion of the ingredients.

Fish4dogs is 55% fish, rest potato, no additives, puppy food is 75% fish.
