I would love to attend some ring craft classes in Northampton but can't find any, Does anyone know of any that I can go to.

I used to attend one in Roade village hall on Wednesday nights, but the last time I went was late 2006, so I don't know if it still exists! I've searched to see if I can find any past posts, but sadly drawn a blank. Sorry not to have been more help - it would be ideal for you as you're at Hunsbury, wouldn't it? If I find out any more, I'll come back. :-)

I've got a friend who lives in Duston and she goes to a ringcraft, would that one be in the area you are looking? If you could indicate what sort of distance you are from that I'll ask her for details of hers or if she knows of any others.

Hi! I've just found my post from 2005: Ringcraft at Roade Community Centre, Bailey Brooks Road, Wed at 8pm.
However, as I mentioned before, as I haven't attended since 2006 I can only presume they are still continuing - they were very well attended, with all types of dog, very large and very small and everything in between. (Don't worry, the tinies usually sat together on one side of the hall! ) Hope this helps.:-)

I have heard that the ringcraft at Roade is closing down, but don't know when.

Spoke to my Northants friend, mentioned about Roade and she says she hadn't heard about them closing but they do normally shut for the summer.
The one she goes to is between Northants and Kettering it's called Walgrave Village Hall, Walgrave and meets on a Monday evening setting up at 7.30pm, starting at 8pm; apparenttly it's a nice village hall with good outside facilities.  
They are not meeting this Monday as the trainers are at Paignton.

i heard that roade had closed down as the people that where running it where retiring i go to a one on wednesday night through at wootton it is very friendly all depends how far you want to travel

Roade Ringcraft has unfortunately closed down as of 28/7/10 .However there are two other Ringcraft classes nearby to Northampton. Dodford Village Hall Nr Weedon - Wednesday nights 7.30 start or Milton Keynes @ the TA Centre again 7.30 start on Thurdays. I go to both and can recommend them. The people are all very helpful and very friendly to newcomers.
