Hi, Yes it is at the Sports Centre at Goole - very easy to get to, just a few miles east of Ferrybridge services form teh A1/M1/M62 intersections.

Ahhh not very north for me then!
Im trying to find some champ shows that are a bit more northen than birmingham leeds etc.
Looks like im going to have to travel quite a bit.

Does this show usually have quite a big turn out? Also do you know what sites the schedules usually appear on?

thanks

Hi, I'm afraid that you are not going to find many - there are the 2 SKCs, and Border Union, then coming down the cournty there is Leeds, Darlington and Driffield (all these showgrounds are now geographically very close to each rather than to the areas they represent, being at Harewood House, Newby Hall and Wetherby Racecourse respectivley, going across to the west there is Blackpool.  That is it for Northern shows since Manchester moved to Stafford.  For pugs you have Scottish Pug in April and then Northern Pug in November, everything else is way further south.  Dog showing is an activity which requires  lots of traveling I am afraid.  OF course, there are a lot more open shows North of the Border.

Just don't move east lol!  I found showing more easily accessible in Scotland than on the East Coast (Anglia)!

Forgot to say that the schedules are usually just available from the secretary - contact details appear in the breed notes in the dog papers closer to the date, or you get one mailed out if you are a member.
