It looks as though my mum's going to be in hospital for quite some time and I'm going to have to do cooking for my dad etc.  What containers do you recommend for freezing meals and also soups?  JKust feel it will make my life easier if I do a few in advance.

Oh and any good, EASY recipes gratefully rec'd.

Some cheap/Pound shops do those plastic containers that some take-aways now use. Usually £1 for 5.

I use the plastic containers similar to those used by chinese/indian takeaway.. 8 pack for 1.80 in Tesco.. they are shelved with the baco-foil, dish cloths etc, not in the crockery section..

They are an ideal size to hold single meals, soups, lasange etc.. I also batch cook potatoes, turnip etc.. mash and pack into the tubs.. they feeze well, and go straight to microwave.  On average I cook once every 2/3months, store and freeze .. I used to label, now I just get surprised :-)
