URGENT!!! does anyone in the North West of England have a small breed bitch that has lost or only has a small litter and could take on 3 foster puppies whose mother has no milk.

Oh Kenya I have a huge bitch with just three pups and she would be delighted but too big!! And I live the wrong side of the country.

I wouldn't give up on the bitch getting her milk in. 

Let them suckle off Mum for 10 minutes before you feed them. 

Of course if they are then content and appear to be getting milk then reduce the top up feeds.

A friend hand reared her litter for a week before the milk came in.  The reason the bitch had no milk was that the vet pronounced the bitch to not be in whelp and having a phantom, and the bitch had been given Galastop to dry up the milk, then went on to have five pups.

If you are stuck I am in Holmfirth which is between North West and North East. Tuppence has 3 puppies almost weaned if that is any good?

I think the bitch has some milk now, but the owner is also topping them up!

if she works it carefully she will get the bitches milk in and eventually not need to top up.

I agree with Brainless.
The more frequently they suckle the more milk she should produce. Same as humans.
I would suggest putting the pups on mum at least every hour - put them all on together for maximum stimulation.
Don't supplement them unless they are looking dehydrated and loosing weight.
Make sure the dam is eating frequently and drinking enough. Formula in her drinking water helps.
24 hours of this should bring her milk in well and truely. If not, then something is not right and you will have to supplement.
