At the trafford centre yesterday there were people sat with ther feet in tanks full of small fish, the fish nibble at your feet and eat all the dead skin, there must of been about 100 waiting ,the fish are from turkey,it costs £10 for 15 minutes, the poor fish must be really hungry to do this.

According to Springwatch this year you can do this in your nearest rock pool for free - prawns do it !!

I work with someone whos husband is the manager of the Trafford Centre, she has been raving about it for weeks, I also saw it on the One show.  Apart from really not liking my feet tickled, the thought of fish eating my feet, that had already eaten 50 other peoples feet, really made me feel a bit sick....

Thats were I saw it and thought it would be fun to give it a go. Not sure how effective it is compared to have a proper pedicure though. But I do love to put my feet in water, love fish and this looks like a giggle if nothing else..
My eyes are peeled for anywhere that does it near me.. The Trafford Centre is a little far just for this..

It sounds utterly revolting! Putting your feet in water where other people's manky feet have been. Athlete's foot and verruca soup! Yuk!

Not much fun for the poor fish either, water should always have the right kind of bacterial culture and ph for their particular needs and they can be very sensitive to chemicals. How do they check that people haven't used moisturiser, fake tan or even deodorant on their feet?

Ewww yuck, I'd not fancy that either!!!

Apparently these fish work wonders on people who suffer from chronic eczema, psoriasis etc.

I wish someone would bring them down here, I'd have a go. I'm not sure how nice it is for the fish to be taken all over the place like a sideshow for money, but maybe they will get more of them over here and I can have my very own fishy foot-spa :)

I did see a programmed briefly on the fish a while back it was called something like "Animals at Work" - John Barrowman is the voice/narrator on it.  It was very interesting.  However, probably wouldn't fancy it in the Trafford Centre, no offence meant, just lots of people!

Would do wonders for my mum who can barely walk due to psoriasis on her feet, she's tried pretty much everything else :-(
