Hello CD, been away for far too long sorry folks...but I'm back! Popped on to offer my condolences to Lokismum but can't find her?? Has she left? Will FB her I think!

So it's t-minus 11 weeks until the big day...wedding day! I've done soooo much :) (smug!) Dress, shoes, rings, underwear, cakes, flowers, honeymoon (Kenya yeahhahhhaaaaa!) so am feeling pretty darn organised right now.  Hen night is 5 weeks away too!

I've popped on to get some advice on music, we've got our first dance (Elbow One Day Like This) & walking up the aisle (Newton Fawlkner This Is It) sorted but cannot find a suitable song for me walking down the aisle...short listed is TT Greatest Day & Snow Patrol Chasing Cars - can you make any suggestions?

Dr.Hook- Years From Now--- I think this is just an awsome song- absolutly love it- I love Dr.Hook

Dr.Hook- If Not You - 1st time I heard this one- lovely

We had chasing cars for our wedding , it was lovely , although for a laugh on the way out we had Scissor Sisters - I can't decide . We have always argued so thought this song was perfect, you should of seen my great Auntie's face when she heard the words ( totally classic , I'll never forget that moment ever )

Yes I think Lokismum has left , if I'm right it was that she disagreed with the adverts which are on here , one which had been advertising the prong collar ( i think ) , someone with a better memory than myself will probably be able to explain better.

Good luck with your wedding , sounds like you're well organised now, take some time to relax!

I think Bryan Adams 'I'll always be right there' is a lovely song.

Wow, thats come around quick Gembo!!! I cant really suggest an actual song but i really like it when people have something that reflects their personality or means something to them (even if its quite a funny song) rather than just going for the traditional lovey dovey song. entirely up to you though, its your BIG DAY!!!

Who let the Dogs out!!

I adore
It Feels like home to me - Dawsons Creek Soundtrack

Bit of Dolly and Kenny - Islands in the Stream

Are you wanting something all dreamy and lovey dovey or something upbeat, comical, describes you??
- By gembo [gb] Date 15.07.10 19:50 UTC
We are wanting something that reflects us as a couple, I suggested my best friend by queen but rich wasn't too keen! We've been together since we were 14 so I thought it was ideal..backbto the drawing board I think! Keep the suggestions coming, nothing too lovey dovey though.. :-)

One of my favourites is "It's getting better" by Mama Cass, but that's not quite right for going down the aisle!

How many years ago were you14?
Maybe there is something appropriate from then.........
- By bear [gb] Date 16.07.10 08:59 UTC
Loui Armstrong ' We have all the time in the world' fantastic song, one of our friends had this and everyone loved it.
- By Sawheaties [gb] Date 17.07.10 19:18 UTC
Love Louis Armstrong suggestion. I like Celine Dion " Because you love me" some great lyrics.

Have a wonderful day and please let us know what you choose.

Sorry Gem but can see you dob on your profile, which would bring it to around 1995.
- By gembo [gb] Date 19.07.10 20:45 UTC
Off to google songs from 1995 which is the year we got together, I do however really like a&e by goldfrapp, the first lines are perfect!
- By Sawheaties [gb] Date 19.07.10 21:33 UTC
Gembo "a&e" to me means accident and emergency, obviously I am a bit older than you :)
