My girl -giant breed- was mated in May(progesterone tests done).
She has had false pregnancies before(but nothing like this one!) so when after scan at 28 days and a second scan a week later we were told there is nothing there, we started treating her as non-pregnant girl.
Fast forward a little and I went way for 5 days, came back and looked at her and had to take her for another scan!
This was a week ago so she would have been nearly 8 weeks gone.
Again, nothing, fair enough, she got me fooled :)!

However yesterday she started having clear stringy discharge, like a bitch that is due to whelp!
I have never had this with false pregnant girls(I have had 3 all with varying symptoms), she would be 63 days gone on Friday.
I was wondering if anybody has had discharge with a false pregnant girl?

Her nipples are little large as has been her vulva through the whole "pregnancy".
I have taken her temperature and it is normal, discharge is clear non smelling "healthy looking" discharge I have only seen coming out of girls due to have pups.
She is bright and playful, eats&poops just as normal(except has been extra hungry for weeks now).

I think we need to go for an xray but I just wanted to hear if anybody has had discharge with false pregnancy as well?

Yes , my small utility breed had it , she was due the first week in June. We also had her scanned ( no puppies ), she had all the signs of being pregnant . This would of been her second litter. In the end I had her xrayed just for my peace of mind ( no puppies ). I was told that the discharge was normal by my vet ( but how much experience breeding they have I don't know ), I have never had a bitch miss before this one , so I wasn't sure what was normal. She is fine now, the discharge cleared and she's back to her normal naughty self!

I did think no way can she be expecting after 3 negative scans but having never heard/had this with false pregnancy I started feeling little panicky! But then ll false pregnancies we have had have been without mating as all matings have produced pups so maybe bitch that has been mated but missed/absorbed very early on will have slightly different false pregnancy too.
Might still have to do the xray for my peace of mind tho!

Yes mine did exactly what you are describing now after she had been mated - no tie.
clear stringy discharge at 4 weeks, and this carried on until the week the pups would have been born.
She got bigger at the ribs, but not huge.
I took her for 3 scans and i thought this clear discharge was a positive sign of puppies. but i guess it isnt as she would have been due 4 weeks ago.
She also got very hungry from 'week 3' and even stole food off the side!

unfort she is having a huge moult now - was that bad i took her vets and he confirmed my suspicion that is was due to phantom/pseudo pregnancy.
