Hi,
Just interested to know what words you all use when you want your dogs to go out for a wee. I tend to say 'lets all go for widdly woos' and they all rush out knowing exactly what a 'widdly woo' is.
I am sure there will be some very interesting words used by the doggy people on here.
- By pat [gb] Date 05.07.10 07:59 UTC
guide dog puppy walkers use 'busy' which works quite nicely and does not sound too silly when in public.
- By Tarimoor [gb] Date 05.07.10 08:07 UTC
I use 'get busy' - Indie will even pretend to pee if she think's there's a treat in the offing, when I ask for a 'busy'.
- By Pedlee Date 05.07.10 08:09 UTC
"Be quick" has always worked well with my lot.
- By Nova Date 05.07.10 08:14 UTC
I'm a 'be quick' too, you can get a lot of expression in those two words.
- By Trialist Date 05.07.10 08:20 UTC
Sorry, like to say it as it is me ... "go wee" and "go poo"!  I did start off with politer options with my very first dog,  and then I lapsed :-(
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 05.07.10 08:24 UTC
I just say 'go toilet' for either wees or poos. Sometimes I might say 'any more' or 'how about the other one', but I think really they respond to 'toilet'.
- By weimed [gb] Date 05.07.10 08:27 UTC
'hurry up!'
less embaressing to say in public

Similar to you trialist, 'go pee' and 'go poo' are the commands in my house (well not literally!)
- By peanuts [gb] Date 05.07.10 09:38 UTC

- By Butler 1 [gb] Date 05.07.10 10:18 UTC
It's "tiddley widdley" here and a "pooh stink" OMG how daft does that sound but it works !
- By jackbox Date 05.07.10 10:22 UTC
lets go do a wee !  in this household, mind thats only use din the house, outside I don't have to say a word, my boy makes it his mission in life to squeeze out as many pees /poos  without any encouragement!
- By MsTemeraire Date 05.07.10 10:29 UTC
It's 'wees' or 'weewees' here - same words my mum used with our family dogs over the years, so it was kind of automatic to do the same. No separate word for 'poo' - weewees covers both.
- By suejaw Date 05.07.10 10:51 UTC

> I'm a 'be quick' too

Me too..

Not sure where that saying came from but have always used it. Thats not to say that they actually listen to me on this though :-)
- By goldie [gb] Date 05.07.10 10:56 UTC
Be Quick Be Quick.

When we go on hols with my SIL she cant believe mine go so quickly when I say it...she stands for ages just waiting for her dogs to go.
- By Cani1 [gb] Date 05.07.10 11:24 UTC
It's weewees here also for both.
- By Linz13 [gb] Date 05.07.10 11:44 UTC
In my house it - go get a peepee, come on get a poop done!
- By Tanya1989 [ru] Date 05.07.10 11:50 UTC
We are "do wee wees" followed my wee on command, or "do a stinky" which really doesn't need much imagination :-)
- By Whistler [gb] Date 05.07.10 11:56 UTC
Outside hurry up, then when walking "Hurry up" Whistler or Jake they seem to understand it.

Think it comes from standing shuddering with cold in the early hours waiting for a puppy to relieve its self - you say 'Be Quick' because you are hoping against hope they are. If you show it is really useful particularly somewhere like Crufts when they are reluctant to go where the ground is so soiled particularly bitches.
- By tadog [gb] Date 05.07.10 12:42 UTC
get busy for pee's and get busy again for poos
- By Nova Date 05.07.10 13:04 UTC
LOL, some of you are very precise in your expectations I am just grateful to get anything that is immanent, not too worried as to the result of my 'Be Quick' - think my hounds know that it means we are about to do something or they are about to be shut in, either way it works.
- By bevb [gb] Date 05.07.10 14:11 UTC
I use "be Clever" for wees and "do big clevers" for poo.
- By Dribble Date 05.07.10 14:12 UTC
Pee pee, or in the evening I tell them to go out to the toilet lol
- By Lacy Date 05.07.10 14:56 UTC
I'm impressed that some of you have different commands for both actions, I was quiet chuffed that I could get them to go at all with 'be busy'.
- By bilbobaggins [gb] Date 05.07.10 14:56 UTC
Pointer is "Go Toilet" or "Quickly" . Dallie we ignore him if he thinks you are watching or waiting he gets very stressed and just can't.. but he always gets a "Good Boy" when he does...
- By dancer Date 05.07.10 15:30 UTC
We were advised to put a word to it whan we got our first dog in 1986. Have always trained them on the word 'quickly' but we tend to say 'Go quickly' once they know what we're talking about.
- By Olive1 Date 05.07.10 16:20 UTC
pee pee for number 1's
poo poo for number 2's
- By Pinky Date 05.07.10 17:04 UTC
Wee Wee Tinkles for wee's
and
Bonnie don't eat that! seems to trigger everybody to drop a turd and then I run round like a mad thing trying to get them before Bonnie does :(
- By MsTemeraire Date 05.07.10 18:14 UTC
Hmmm.... Might I just ask those who use "Quickly!" or "Hurry Up!".... What exactly do you say to your dogs when you want them to go faster.....?!?
(Just imagining a dog doing an agility round stopping to do a... well you know... when the handler is urging the dog along LOL).
- By tadog [gb] Date 05.07.10 19:39 UTC
dogs are very quick at picking up the differance. I always say that they are far more clever than we give them credit for.  mine know that the command last pee's means they GO even if they dont need they oblidge.  last chance and all that.  They know its bedtime.

(((((((((( Noooooo! Not on Sienna's head!! ))))))))))))))))

(((((((((( Nooooooo! Not my Wellies!!!!!!!!!)))))))))))))))))

;-)

No problems starting... it's just the stopping!
- By newf3 [gb] Date 05.07.10 20:15 UTC
piddle pops.
- By munkeemojo Date 05.07.10 20:20 UTC
We use 'busy busy', it stems from puppy walking for the guide dogs years and years ago
- By munkeemojo Date 05.07.10 20:22 UTC
Lol @ HG. I had "not on Teka's head" the other week. It was too late though, she had Bu's wee splattered across her head and face!

Me too.  Really amazed that some folk think it's too embarrassing to say wee wees in public!  I obviously have no such inhibitions!  :-)
- By MsTemeraire Date 05.07.10 21:23 UTC

> I obviously have no such inhibitions!

Who has any inhibitions left after owning dogs for long enough? They wee & poo where they will, hump other people's dogs, cock their legs on people's belongings, steal picnics in the park, bark at children for the sheer fun of it, stick their noses into people's crotches, chase cats and eat other animals' poo. If you aren't humble enough already, a dog will surely make you so :)
- By loucon [gb] Date 05.07.10 22:14 UTC
its a simple "go toilets" here
- By toffeecrisp [gb] Date 05.07.10 22:23 UTC
Wees and poos here...even the pups started understanding before they left
- By sillysue Date 06.07.10 06:55 UTC

I had a Cav that used to cock his leg against any mans leg he could find. On many occasions I would see him run up, lift his leg and run off without the man being aware he had wee running down his leg and shoe, it was very embarrassing and often was better to just walk in the opposite direction and pretend it hadn't happened. Perhaps I should have owned up but at times like that silence was easier and besides that I was a coward!!!
- By sunshine [gb] Date 06.07.10 08:43 UTC
'Weeweees', my other half will use toilet sometimes.  Go poop' sometimes if at a show and they look like need one.  Will wee on command at show, (Good girls)

'bedtime weeweees' for well bedtime.  they look at me then fly out the backdoor have a bark the the business and run to the bottom of the stairs on returning.  They know we'll go up then when can keep me awake longer playing.

I have to plan my bedtime half hour early to allow them to play.  i wonder who gets the better deal here.
- By furriefriends Date 06.07.10 11:48 UTC
Mine have all gone to "be quick"or so I thought untill I realised that as they are trained to one area when at home I would say  come on up the back and then "be quick" when we got there when I was training them. Then discovered that they were unintenionally being cued on "up the back" !. So now its be quick when we are out, up the back at home

Moral of the story, be careful what you do and say when you are training or you end up with something different. I can really understand now how spray collars can accidentally be cued wrongly
- By Whistler [gb] Date 06.07.10 14:00 UTC
Whistler is so nosey whenever Jake lifts his leg he peers under it, golden rain to order - a real p--- Head my Cocker.
- By huskypup [gb] Date 06.07.10 16:40 UTC
The only time I tell them to do a wee is at bedtime and it's 'last wee wees'  with the addition of 'and a poo'.  The OH is a little more coy and often tells Misty to go 'last sprinkles' but not Foxy.  I must have been badly brought up 'cos I thought that 'wee' and 'poo' were polite terms!  :-D
- By Masonsmum [gb] Date 06.07.10 17:42 UTC
I use "weewees" in the morning and if there are people around. Never really had a command for a number 2, he's more than happy to perform that on his own accord!

"Last chance saloon" is the command to go before bed. Don't ask where that came from, but he understands perfectly :)
- By MsTemeraire Date 06.07.10 22:38 UTC

> "Last chance saloon" is the command to go before bed. Don't ask where that came from, but he understands perfectly

Ah... you're not alone.... I have no idea where "Last Wee & Testament" came from either.
- By dexter [gb] Date 07.07.10 18:50 UTC
LOL...We use "corner" as this is their designated area in the garden :)
- By breehant Date 07.07.10 21:57 UTC
Tiggy Pooh, in this house, although the young men of the house hate using it :D
- By loulou22 [gb] Date 07.07.10 22:02 UTC
I say 'Be clean', no idea why. And for poo I say, 'Two time, two time'. I must seem like a crazy lady at the park. IMO it's far more impressive for your dog to 'go' on command than any other trick.
