My bitch is due her season and has come in, this is her first season after whelping and she is on about day 8, the discharge is still watery brown and has been since she came in, not swollen or twitching as she would normally, the discharge is not smelly, I have not seen any on the floor this time around?! Can some bitches have an odd season after giving birth?

I don't think it's so much an "odd" season, as a different one.  They are not the same every season, and, given that you say there is no smell, I wouldn't be too troubled about it.
