My neighbour came knocking on my door today, to say she'd had a call from a chap saying his Mother had bought a puppy from me, but now his Mother has died. I'm thinking.....huh?? Why would he phone my neighbours mobile phone? All new owners have my Landline & Mobile numbers & my email addy, but I have never given them my neighbours mobile number. I find this all very strange & have tried contacting everyone who has had a puppy from me. He said I sold his Mum a Sheltie...I don't breed Shelties! He even quoted the street name & my neighbour said 'Oh no...you need to talk to the lady next door'....ME!..I'm gobsmacked & don't know what to do next. It was a local telephone number, but the nearest of our pups is a good way from here. I've been ringing the number he called from, for hours, but I'm getting no reply. It's a real mystery :(

just make sure all your dogs are not left alone in the garden etc: trust no one.

I would also be a bit wary, they may just randomly be ringing people and finding out who has dogs and breeds.

Maybe a pranker, they must know you well or your neighbour eve  more to have her mobile no. etc.  The neighbours not complained about your dogs or anything before has she?

Mystery solved...I just talked to the brother of the man who phoned yesterday. The dog is one that my neighbour sold to his mum about 2 years ago. It's a Llasa Apso!!! So I've told him to ring her back. I don't think there's anything dodgy going on, but it's always a bit scarey when strangers call with strange stories.
