Hi, I have a 3 year old Saluki-X called Zak. I have had him for almost 18 months and got him from a wonderful rescue. We moved house 2 months ago, going from somewhere very urban to somewhere deep in the sticks.
Anyway, Zak seems to have developed a new habit that I haven't noticed before. He has started drooling and dribbling whenever we meet another dog. He's always calm, not barking or anything, tail wagging away. But the drool just seems to spill from his mouth. A couple of times it has looked like he is foaming at the mouth. Is it that he is excited and wants to play? I'm not worried about it as such, more curious than anything I suppose.
He does seem very disappointed that none of his new-found doggy friends can keep up with him, and he is desperate to have a good proper run around with another long-legged dog, bless him.
Thanks for reading.
