What is a premier show? I have just noticed on Fosse data that Bakewell has been granted Premier status, Just wondered what that meant?

At a Premier Open show, certain breeds will qualify for Crufts by winning BOB. (Tends to be the breeds with the most number of classes and entries, it will say in the schedule which.)

Is it only BOB or BP as well

Only BOB.

Thanks for the information. I can't see anything on  the schedule at all which explains what a premier show is. It doesn't specify which breeds would qualify for Crufts. Do you know how i could find this out?

It will normally say in the schedule next to the breeds in question which qualify, but when it comes to Bakewell it seems Premier status was granted AFTER the schedule was published. I can't seem to find the rules for what breeds qualify at a Premier show, I know it has to do with number of classes (which are due to how many entries are expected) but I just can't find it now. You may have to contact the show secretary to ask.

I can't see anything as other premier shows i've looked at have stars next to the breed which would be Crufts qualifiers if you get BOB.
I'd say call the secretary up and ask, maybe let us know the answer too :-)

Wonder if it's from next year then?
