This is a bit of a gross one but my boy has never really been a big cleaner when it comes to his "old man". So he sometimes has a greenish residue at the end and sometimes down his leg. For the last week he seems to have more than usual, i'm not sure if this is because he has been lazy and not cleaned himself or its an infection?
I have always had bitches so i am a bit unsure on this.

i would pop to the vets for a check up,my boxer can be a bit lazy at cleaning himself but i've never seen anything worst than a little on the end of his 'old man'.

How old is he?  It's quite common in adolescent dogs and nothing to worry about - although I agree it's a bit alarming when you've not seen it before!!  I just used to give him a quick wipe with a tissue.  It's just a phase but I can't remember how old mine was when it stopped

This is a normal thing.  Keeps the willie working properly!  Well-oiled and all that.  You only need to worry if it is cheesy and stinky.  When we got our first boy many years ago, we decided to decorate our hallway after the mud splashes were taking over and while we were painting hubby mentioned all the green spots he had to pick off the wall before starting.  Turns out, when our boy would shake after a walk the green gunk would hit the wall and harden.  Yuck!!  Painted it a lovely pee green colour LOL.

My boys (Malamutes) used to get green willie sydrome but not since being neutered - another good reason for the op if you're not inteding to breed.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that.  It's a phase which passes with maturity so it'll stop well before your dog is old enough to be neutered

I've got three males and used to have another and I have to say not a single one of them suffered with this.

I have a lovely old mahogany video/tv cabinet that has been "decorated" in the same polka dot design! My boy loves laying next to said cabinet looking out into the garden and often dozes off whilst there, always having a shake when he wakes up. Tried to teach him a "lick your willy" command LOL, but don't always catch him in time!!

Mine's 6 now and always been like that since adolescence. Had a swab taken at the vets and all ok.

Before anyone asks how I did this?!!! I pointed to the offending piece of anatomy with a target stick!

He is four years old, and was castrated at two years old.
He has always had the greeny diischarge just not quite as much as lately.
