We regularly get moss picked off our roof by the birds and my dog is always finding a piece to eat any reason why he dose this?

Its quite common for dogs to eat grass but all the years I have had dogs I have never had one eat moss.

My 4 year old mally bitch sometimes eats grass (not moss though) all day long refusing all foods. I have added a teaspoon of Active Manuka honey to her diet twice daily and she hasn't touched grass since - been three weeks now - I was worried she had a stomach ulcer, from what i'd read on the net.
