i have one cucumber plant in my greenhouse. it has a few small cues on it but one big one about 4 inches long. does anyone know when i should pick it and will it keep getting bigger?

We just pick them when they are slightly smaller than the ones you get in the super market, I think there are different types though some are covered in knobly bits :).

When you want one I usually do at about 6" and find the next lot all come in together.

My Dad grew some with knobbly bits on 'em........I thought they were deformed or diseased so I wouldn't eat 'em........Doh!  Never thought they might be a different variety!

Mmmm...... and that's what the EU regulations and multinational supermarkets do for society....... Obviously ain't a proper cucumber if it's not dead straight and sold in Tescos.
