Just looking for some advice/experience on allergies, my dog is highly allergic to storage mites.

Thanks.

What on earth is a storage mite

Storage mites are mites which are found in dried food usually.

they are also mites which can be found in other dried goods such as flour and the like,
in the olden days I think they were called weevils.

If a dog i allergic to storage mites, then storage of the actual food itself is very important, i.e. that it is stored in a cool dry place etc
also buying smaller sacks of food might help but as far as i know the mites can be in the food from the factory onwards.

sorry not to be more help

by olden days I meant when they had ships discovering america Lara :)

Phew! :)

To get back to the original question - if it's a problem associated with dried food then try feeding a moist or semi moist diet where storage mites would not be found. Or keep small amounts of dried food in airtight containers.
