Any Computer boffs out there can advise me. I use Outlook Express 6 to send emails but for some reason some recipiients are not getting any mail from me. My son for one who I email several times a day usually. I have spoke to Orange but no joy there. They told me to send a mail via web2mail website wghich did work. It seems that problem might be in Outlook Express itself. Orange helped me to reset the settings so all that is in oreder but still cannot emmail him. This also happened a few weeks ago to a friend who I email a lot. Any suggestions please would be really appreciated.

Have they checked their Spam folders. I had to go into my ISP webmail and retrieve two senders from there that definitely were not spam when I realised I hadn't received mail.
It could be the recipiants mail. I use outlook for agenda's ect and 1 councillor could not get my mail. It turned out as I emailed him daily (he was the Chairman) his email provider had set me up as unwanted mail and it destroyed my emails before it got to spam or the inbox.
Get your son to check with his provider to unblock your email address. I hope this helps. we sorted out the emails between Mike & I easily from his end not my end.

Thanks for that but he has checked this. His partner is also not receiving mail from me.
Do you get an error message when you send the email - or nothing at all? Are other people receiving emails from you?
Don't forget that some mail systems also use an auto delete function as well as trash/spam folders so it may not even get that far. Have you tried asking for a 'read' receipt?
If it is all/most of your mail it's likely that the problem is with your outgoing server. It's usually sorted by amending your settings. There are several suggestions about fixes if you Google the problem so it's not uncommon but you need to know exactly what systems you use. You may also find that there is a known error with Outlook that they are in the process of patching. Good luck - I always hate it when I have computer problems and I'm grateful my OH is more patient than me.
Your son may also need to check his server but if all else fails - call your local computer shop. They are generally manned by enthusiasts (proper old style nerds!!) and may be able to help you.

No error message. Some emails I send would not nex=cessarily get a response so always difficult to judge. I reckon most are going through but several recipents not. I have always used a read receipt but do find most people ignore it anyway... Its so frustrating.Grrr

I use Outlook Express as well and found for some weird reason that emails weren't getting through to hotmail accounts.

I have always had problems sending to hotmail accounts.
I found that if I replied to anyone enquiring about puppies, the hotmail server couldn't cope with large files, and my email just crashed and wasn't delivered. (I do hate it when people think that I just haven't replied!
I no longer send more than one photograph if people contact me via a hotmail address.

In reply to Star: no, I couldn't figure it out (not computer savvy enough). Any friends with hotmail accounts now text me!

Ask would be recipients to check their spam folders?
