My girl is in season now. I know she had been licking quite a lot before last Monday but that was the first day I saw any bleeding and so obviously I started to count this as the first day of her season. I do have a Draminski Ovulator but have a problem and wondered whether anyone had seen this before. I will add she has previously had a litter of 7 puppies, 2 years ago.
I have found that her bleeding appears to be intermittent. It is certainly nothing to extremely light with a couple of points being heavier. Whilst I was expecting to use the machine to obtain a gradual rise, I have found if anything that the readings have plateaued. To-day she has been making up to my neutered boy who has shown some interest but not wild interest as I know from the past despite being neutered he has been a good indicator. She was swishing her tail and pretty much standing in position. The dog I want to use is 6 hours away and so I am keen for obvious reasons not to make a wasted journey.
Any help would be appreciated.

with the Stud being such a distance, I would be looking at have her blood tested using Idexx , or ask your vet if they have facilities to do in-house testing..
