We all think differently about this. I like mine done when pups are 12 weeks old. Mums hormones are then between seasons, and there are less blood vessels for the vet to tie off. Which means a quicker operation, so better for the bitch.
Thanks jean think i go with ur advice as i did with her whelping she cant have any more litters so going to get her spayed would of lost her if it hadent of been for your post that made me rush her to vets thanks for that .
mine have been done about 11 - 12 weeks after the pups are born, but my girls continue to allow feeding right until pups go. You need to wait until the milk has dried up.
