thanks x
forgot to say she has mucus in her poo too
I have had this in litters before at this age and it always seems to come on just after they start going out in the garden eating dirt and grass etc. It's always cleared after a day or so and like yours they are still happy and eating well.I'm sure it's all the new bugs and germs that they've never encountered indoors.
I have found live natural yogurt helps.
Hope their little tums settle soon ,god they're a worry aren't they x
yes they are ive aged so much LOL and my vets loves me at the mo LOL hes off for 2 weeks from the weekend going on hoilday with all the money ive spent here ;-) x

There could be a number of causes
1. Are they needing worming
2. They could have picked up a bacterial infection - do not necessarily have to have a temp.
3. If they have been outside they could have picked up giardia - this is becoming more prevalent in this country, or perhaps diagnosis is better.
4. They may be having too much milk (puppies loose the enzyme that converts the sugar in milk)
The mucous means that they have inflammation of the intestines - all of the above could cause this.
They are at an age when mothers immunity begins to wane, and their own immune systems will not be fully up and running yet.
i stopped the milk 3days ago just incase it was this ,i wormed them 6days ago ,so if bacterial infection does that mean more anibiotics for them ? poor things have already had a course when they was 3weeks old :( thanks dogsdinner x
when i wormed them their weights were4490g gave 2ml drontol puppy 4140 2ml and 3950 1 1/2ml ,did i give right amount ,i dont think i did? this is what vet said to give?

I do not use drontal White Lilly, what does it say on the directions that come with the bottle, I will look up the dosage later for you. I use panacur, but you must not mix the two.
If the diarrhoea has passed from one to the other it is likely to be either bacterial or viral, viral is usually over within 24-48 hrs., if it is bacterial they just re-infect themselves, because the lick each other and pass the bacteria back and forth. So, yes it is yet more money at the vets for AB's.
I hope, one day I get to see the pup you are keeping, I feel that they are like my own :) :)
thanks dogsdinner ;-) :) x

Drontal puppy suspension dosage is 1ml per kg.
Below is a link but you have to click on products on the right, then click on Drontal puppy, the dosage is at the bottom.

Cannot see on my new scales the grams, as it is digital and only records what you put on, so do not know whether you have given them enough or not.
Looking on the internet 4490 grams is 9.8 lbs, which is just over 4 Kgs!!!!!!!!!!!! Have I got that right, they are big pups - my maths is not too good. If you are taking her back to the vet, get them to weigh her and query whether they gave you the correct instructions regarding dosage.
Don't think you've given enough - should be 4.5ml, 4.1ml & 4ml - think you've only been giving them half doses.....
omg yes ive just looked!!! dont know what to do now? will ring vets ,thanks Ells-Bells x
ive found my book and i did give the right amount LOL sorry lack of sleep! the amounts i gave are for if id of used pancur 10% for 3 days LOL
Slippery Elm Bark Powder is a good natural tummy stabiliser. Mix a small amount to a paste and syringe in, or sprinkle on food. Good for humans (babies too ) and animals.
I don't know, you probably can, but I buy it at my local Health Food Store. I have fixed people with diarrohea, gas, reflux, my old dog with major digestive problems. I love it!
Dorwest herbs do it.They call it tree barks powder..
thankyou so much i will get some :) ,pups are on abs and seen alittle better today! :) x

I buy treebarks from Dorwest and all my toy adults get a tiny sprinkling on their food daily. The incidence of tummy upsets has gone down considerably.
